The Arduino Student Kit is a practical, scalable tool for distance learning, designed for students aged 11 and over: it lets them start at home with the basics of electronics, programming and coding. No prior knowledge or experience is needed, because the kit guides you step by step. Teachers can use it to teach their class remotely, while parents can use it as a learning tool at home, letting children progress at their own pace.

Lessons and projects can be handled according to each student’s ability, so they can learn from home at their own speed. The kit can also be worked into other subjects such as physics, chemistry and even history. There is in fact enough material for a whole semester.

How can teachers use the kit for distance learning?
The online platform holds everything needed to teach remotely: exclusive learning-guide content, tips for distance learning, nine 90-minute lessons and two open-ended projects. Each lesson builds on the one before, giving another chance to apply the skills and concepts the students have already learned. Students also get a logbook to fill in as they work through the lessons. Every lesson opens with an overview, the estimated time to complete it and the learning goals. Along the way there are hints and notes that make the learning easier. Answer keys and ideas for going further are provided as well.
