SD Card Shield for Arduino – Kit

Shield with a slot for micro SD Card memories, ideal wherever plenty of storage is needed

SKU 8190-SDCARDSHIELDEAN 8219671047234Item type: Kit, Shields & add-ons,

Description

Shield complete with slots for micro SD Card memory, ideal for applications requiring high memory capacity. Communication between the microcontroller and the SD card uses SPI via the ICSP pins. This makes the shield compatible with both Arduino UNO and Arduino MEGA. An additional pin is used to manage the SD card, and most open-source libraries use pins D4, D8, or D10. To make our shield compatible with various libraries, we have included a configuration jumper that allows selecting one of these three pins without modifying the library. The board features 5 pin strips that facilitate connecting external sensors for quickly building a datalogger.
Note: The board is supplied with all components to be assembled.
