Dual Power Supply Module for Audio Amplifiers

It uses a 25 A bridge rectifier and a bank of four 4700 µF / 63 V electrolytic capacitors for effective filtering of the rectified voltage.
It includes protection fuses on both rails and a green status LED to show that the output voltage is present.

For correct and safe operation you must use a transformer with two secondary outputs rated no higher than 36Vac with a centre tap. This value keeps the voltage across the capacitors within safe limits, avoiding any risk of overvoltage and ensuring long-term reliability.

The module is easy to assemble, compact and rugged, ideal for audio applications that call for a stable, well-filtered symmetrical supply.

Important note: the transformer is not included and must be purchased separately.

Soldering is required for assembly. The kit is supplied complete with instructions.

• Protection: fuses on both rails (positive and negative)
• Maximum output current: up to about 3.5 A continuous per rail, using a 300 W – 2×35 V toroidal transformer.
  The actual figure depends on load conditions, ventilation and the characteristics of the transformer.
