The Irrighino shield is an irrigation controller for Arduino that can be interfaced with a relay board (max. 4) to drive solenoid valves. It can handle a configurable number of outputs and a rain sensor and, when used with an Arduino with WiFi connection, it can be programmed through a web interface reachable from any PC or smartphone connected to the home network. It is especially suited to watering our plants and gardens automatically. Power supply: 8 to 15 Vdc.

Above, the wiring diagram of the shield with the 4-relay board we use to drive up to four solenoid valves; the diagram is valid whatever the operating voltage of the solenoid valves, which can be from 12 to 220 Vac.
