Description

The Raspberry Pi 4 Model B board is the fourth generation made by the Raspberry Foundation.  Not only is it good for learning to program, develop and play, it is also perfect for IoT projects. Raspberry Pi 4 delivers more processing power, more memory and more connectivity while staying fully compatible with projects built on earlier models. It carries a 64-bit quad-core 1.5GHz ARM Cortex-A72 CPU, able to offer performance comparable to entry-level x86 PC systems. It provides dual-display support at resolutions up to 4K through a pair of micro-HDMI ports, 2 GB of RAM, video decode hardware up to 4Kp60, dual-band 2.4 / 5.0 GHz wireless LAN, Bluetooth 5.0, Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0, PoE (Power over Ethernet) through the specific PoE HAT add-on.

What is a Raspberry Pi?
A Raspberry Pi is a compact computer board that opens up endless possibilities. From the very beginning, Raspberry Pi was designed to be simple to use and simple to adapt to whatever you want to do with it.
Just connect a television or a monitor, a keyboard, a mouse and a power supply and you are ready to go. One of the strengths of Raspberry Pi is that it suits almost every age group. Whether it is explaining programming to children, or engineers building complex computer-controlled systems, anyone can use one.
There is a wide range of “HATs” (Hardware Attached on Top) and other accessories you can connect to the Raspberry Pi to add specific features such as:
  • Cameras
  • LCD displays
  • Motor drivers
  • Sensors
  • GPS
  • Mobile data connection
  • Digital TV decoders

Raspberry Pi is one of the best-selling computers of all time, with 25 million sold so far. (Feb 2019).
