Description

The new Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ has a 64-bit quad-core ARM Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.4 GHz; on-board WiFi (IEEE 802.11ac) built around a 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz IEEE 802.11.b/g/n/a controller, with ethernet that can negotiate connections on a Gigabit ethernet network while running at 300 Mbps; Bluetooth 4.2 LE, the most advanced of the modes classed as Bluetooth Smart and already able to support WPAN; support for Power over Ethernet (PoE) through an add-on HAT module (a dedicated shield that supplies the power).

It keeps the same form factor as the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B. The video inputs and outputs keep the same layout and features, as do the GPU section and the amount of RAM, which stays at 1 GB and is shared with it. The multimedia support is unchanged as well: H.264, MPEG-4 decoding (1080p30), H.264 encoding (1080p30) and OpenGL ES 1.1, 2.0 support.
