Description

Smart Home is a kit for prototyping and simulating a home automation system built on the Arduino platform. Designed to reproduce what a real smart home does, it brings together a wide range of sensors and actuators for building automated scenarios.

The kit gives intelligent control of LED lighting, motorised blinds, access control through an electronic lock, motion detection, temperature and humidity, with the option of switching devices such as buzzers or fans. All the modules are programmed in the Arduino IDE environment, with code in C/C++, and allow complex automation logic to be built.

The system can be controlled either locally with the infrared remote control, or remotely from mobile devices, reproducing real smart-living scenarios.

Also included is a battery holder for 6 AA cells, which lets the system run on its own with no need for an external source, making the kit ideal for mobile demonstrations and teaching environments.
Alternatively, the kit can be powered from an external power supply between 6 and 12 Volts, for flexibility in different working situations.

Designed for STEM laboratories, technical schools, vocational training courses and makers, the kit is a practical platform for learning the technologies behind home automation and the Internet of Things (IoT).

What is in the box
Opening the box you find ten balsa panels (the classic modelling material) holding all the parts needed to build the structure, already cut, which come away with light pressure on the pieces themselves; the mechanical side is completed by screws and nuts in various sizes, spacers, a plastic propeller, jumper leads for the connections, and a small cross-head screwdriver, which is essential for assembly.
