Description

Arduino UNO R4 Wi-Fi brings together the powerful Renesas RA4M1 microcontroller and the Espressif ESP32-S3, making a versatile, complete board with improved processing power.

Thanks to its wide range of new peripherals and to Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® connectivity, Arduino UNO R4 Wi-Fi offers a making experience with no limits.

Arduino UNO R4 Wi-Fi is fully compatible with the shields and accessories of the R3 version, with no changes required. It also runs at a standard 5 volt operating voltage, which keeps it simple to use.

Arduino UNO R4 Wi-Fi also features a handy 12×8 LED matrix, a QWIIC connector, a VRTC pin for the backup battery and an OFF pin.

Arduino UNO R4 Wi-Fi is designed to fully meet the needs of enthusiasts working on their projects, with a dynamic combination of features that turns ideas into reality and takes projects to an outstanding level.

What Arduino UNO R4 Wi-Fi gives you
  • Hardware compatibility with the UNO form factor: Arduino UNO R4 Wi-Fi keeps the same form factor, pin layout and 5 V operating voltage as its predecessor, the Arduino UNO R3, so existing boards and projects stay fully compatible with no trouble at all.
  • Expanded memory and faster clock: Arduino UNO R4 Wi-Fi has more memory and a higher clock speed, for faster calculations and smooth handling of even complex projects.
  • Additional on-board peripherals: Arduino UNO R4 Wi-Fi adds a set of on-board peripherals, among them a 12 bit DAC, CAN BUS and an OP AMP, for wider design capability and flexibility.
  • Extended power supply up to 24 V: Arduino UNO R4 Wi-Fi supports a wider range of input voltages, so motors, LED strips and other actuators can be driven from a single power source with no trouble.
  • HID support: with built-in HID support, Arduino UNO R4 Wi-Fi can act as a mouse or a keyboard when connected to a computer over USB, which makes sending keystrokes and mouse movements straightforward.
  • Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth®: Arduino UNO R4 Wi-Fi carries an ESP32-S3 module, so you can add wireless connectivity to your own projects. Together with Arduino IoT Cloud you can also monitor and control your projects remotely.
  • QWIIC connector: Arduino UNO R4 Wi-Fi has a Qwiic I2C connector for easy connection to nodes of the wide QWIIC ecosystem. Adapter cables also make it compatible with sensors and actuators built around other connectors.
  • Battery-backed RTC support: Arduino UNO R4 Wi-Fi includes extra pins, among them an “OFF” pin to switch the board off and a “VRTC” pin to keep the internal real-time clock powered and running.
  • LED matrix: Arduino UNO R4 Wi-Fi has a bright 12×8 red LED matrix built in, ideal for creative projects with animations or sensor data plotting, with no extra hardware needed.
  • Run-time error diagnostics: Arduino UNO R4 Wi-Fi includes an error detection mechanism that catches run-time crashes and gives detailed explanations and hints about the line of code that caused the crash.
