Description

Educational optics kit with a modular bench and a 360° graduated disc, complete with a 40-page illustrated manual for carrying out 8 experiments on light, lenses and colours. It includes the parts needed to study reflection, refraction and the pinhole camera, all ready to use with batteries and hard case included.

Explore optics hands-on with this educational kit, a complete laboratory designed for schools, STEM activities and young science enthusiasts. The set is built around a high-precision modular optical bench with a millimetre scale and sliding carriers for perfect alignment of the components. The 360° graduated disc makes it possible to measure reflection and refraction angles accurately, while the special LED light source makes image orientation easy to study.

A large part of the experiments is based on the reflection of laser beams produced by the three-beam laser source supplied with the set. This unit shows the path of the light clearly, making it easier to analyse reflection on flat and curved mirrors, to check the laws of geometric optics in practice and to observe angular changes directly. Using three beams at the same time makes the theory quicker to grasp, for an experimental session that is both engaging and genuinely instructive.

The kit includes everything needed to carry out 8 fundamental experiments, from the use of concave and convex lenses to the fascinating pinhole imaging effect. The set is very well equipped: it includes a periscope, colour filters, prisms and a 40-page illustrated manual with step-by-step instructions.

The laboratory is ready to use straight away thanks to the 6 AAA batteries included and to the sturdy shockproof hard case, ideal for carrying and storing the instruments safely.

  1. Rectilinear propagation of light – observing light rays and how shadows are formed.
  2. Reflection of light – studying the law of reflection on flat and curved mirrors.
  3. Refraction of light – how light bends between different transparent media.
  4. Lenses – forming real and virtual images with convex and concave lenses.
  5. Behaviour of light in transparent media – comparing air, water and glass.
  6. The periscope – double reflection to see objects behind obstacles.
  7. Additive colour mixing (RGB) – combining red, green and blue light.
  8. Colour filters and subtractive mixing – changing the colour of light with filters.
